On visits #9 and #10, I attended two events in The Women’s Pavilion In Collaboration With Cartier. The pavilion offers an exhibit and a forum to amplify the voices and contributions of women from around the world - a space for storytelling, reflection, and connection.
The main exhibition invites visitors into the lives of three women from diverse cultural backgrounds, each sharing personal stories of resilience, triumph, and commitment to their communities. Their journeys highlight the ongoing work to advance gender equality and foster positive change. In a particularly moving part of the exhibit, visitors’ names are woven into the narrative, symbolizing that the empowerment of women involves all of us.
Beyond the exhibition, the pavilion’s WA space serves as a serene forum for seminars, events, and discussions featuring thought leaders and innovators from around the globe. I’ve attended two such programs to date, covering topics such as:
· How technology is addressing social challenges
· Achieving a sustainable society and economy through the participation of women
leaders
· Reimagining AI and human capital to enhance Japan’s global competitiveness
· Fostering well-being as a foundation for sustainability
The WA space is more than symbolic—it’s a platform for change. It promotes women across business, technology, education, government, and the arts who are actively shaping a more inclusive and equitable future.
Stay tuned...More visits come.
NOTE: I am writing about my Expo visits to share the wonders, innovations, inspiration, and cultural richness of EXPO Osaka 2025 with those who are interested, but unable to attend.
