My sister, Susette's, first visit to EXPO. I got to play EXPO Tour Guide! Burton Sisters aka Expo Girls!

The NETHERLANDS Pavilion

A new day—and a better one for all of us? Yes, please.

At the Netherlands Pavilion, we’re invited to meet, learn from each other, and inspire one another. It reminds us that we are all on "common ground" and urges us to come together and create a future where clean, abundant energy is available to everyone. We all hold the solution in our hands.

It's not just for children! My sister and I had a blast here! This AR (augmented reality) driven pavilion let us play like kids again!

Math! Art! They do mix. In the 'Kakumei' exhibit, triangle panels made from recycled materials blend mathematics, life, and art. Waving our hands over the surface triggered dynamic patterns and sounds generated by real math equations.

The 'Tree of Creation', built from famous Yoshino cedar timbers, symbolizes the creativity in all living organisms.

And then came the music-making. Using a 'magic camera' and a special set of cards, we took turns creating melodies with virtual violins and Djembe drums. Next, we used other cards to take part in costumed parades, and even joined Expo mascot, Myaku, Myaku, for some on-screen antics.

This pavilion is a celebration of innovation, art, science, and educational play. You don’t just visit—you participate. You become co-creator and curator at the same time.

It was such a joy exploring Expo with my sister—especially revisiting the U.S. and Poland pavilions together. Seeing her first-time excitement made the experience of those pavilions feel brand new again.

Stay tuned... still more visits to come!

NOTE: I am writing about my Expo visits to share the wonders, innovations, inspiration, and cultural richness of EXPO Osaka 2025 with those who are interested, but unable to attend.
